Not every piece in this world is a being. This one is a place.

Dream Cradle is a cradle from the dimension where my dreams and my memories meet — the place this whole world came from. It looks the way places look in dreams: coral growing beside soft flesh, thorns beside ribbon, everything at once and nothing explained.

At the very top rests an egg. The beginning of everything that followed.

Every world has a place where it begins. This is mine.
