One of a kind

An Oracle of childhood. They came carrying a chestnut as a crown — small, polished, surprisingly heavy.

Cold hands, scratched skin, pockets full of small treasures. Chestnuts have always meant childhood to me. Back then, they were just something I collected — the moment a thing felt valuable for no reason at all. Now I am collecting my memories.

The treasures change shape. They stop fitting in pockets and start fitting somewhere quieter.
